Recently, Taoxichuan Hotel Jingdezhen (The Unbound Collection by Hyatt) partnered with premium wedding brands including Romance Wedding, Jingyan Host Studio, Changsha Jinxi Photography, Changsha Nishi Frame Imaging, and Lamo Bridal to present an immersive wedding art feast at Origin, the hotel’s first-floor lobby.Under the theme Oriental Red Charm, Kiln Fire in Harmony, the event took Jingdezhen’s millennium-old kiln fire as its spiritual totem, creating a four-dimensional integration of fire, porcelain, humanity, and architecture.
Mr. Xu Wenchao, Administrative Director of Hotel Sales & Marketing, stated:"The theme of this wedding show is Oriental Red Charm, Kiln Fire in Harmony. Inspired by Jingdezhen’s millennium-old kiln fire, we have created an immersive experience of fire, porcelain, humanity and architecture, showcasing the integration of our hotel’s architecture with Oriental aesthetics. As the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Jiangxi, Taoxichuan Hotel (The Unbound Collection by Hyatt) was designed by Sir David Chipperfield, winner of the 2023 Pritzker Architecture Prize. Since opening, the hotel has been committed to integrating art and culture. It has not only attracted numerous artists and designers, but also successfully hosted more than 100 wedding banquets, earning high praise from couples for its premium service and cuisine. In this wedding show, we have incorporated intangible cultural heritage elements. We are also honored to have invited Master Qiu Jiaji, an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, to the event. We hope to create new Chinese-style art weddings with distinctive cultural characteristics."*
To embrace the cultural and customized wedding concept, the wedding show specially invited Master Qiu Jiaji, an intangible cultural heritage inheritor, to carry forward the Oriental red charm with craftsmanship and interpret the warmth of love through art.His artwork The Prosperous Peach Blossoms Shining Brightly, created exclusively for the wedding show, draws inspiration from a famous line in The Book of Songs. Combining the overglaze famille rose water-dot technique with the imagery of peach blossoms, the piece embodies the verse:“How lush and lusty the peach trees are! How bright their blossoms glow! The maiden goes to her new home, and harmony shall bless her household.”The peach blossom symbolizes the bride’s youth and beauty, conveying wishes for a happy marriage and a prosperous family.
The Water-Point Peach Blossom famille rose porcelain painting titled "The Prosperous Peach, in Splendid Bloom" is an artistic masterpiece integrating poetry, painting and porcelain.Using glaze as its canvas and coloured enamels as ink, it captures the romantic imagery of The Book of Songs in the fusion of fire and clay. It carries forward a thousand years of cultural heritage while embodying the craftsman’s ultimate pursuit of exploring the harmony between nature and humanity. In a contemporary context, this work is not only an inheritance of craftsmanship but also a continuation of the vitality of Oriental aesthetics.
Ms. Liu Sha, Pastry Chef of Taoxichuan Hotel Jingdezhen (The Unbound Collection by Hyatt), and the on-site dessert table
The on-site dessert table themed "Kiln Fire, Aroma Unfolding" was presented by Ms. Liu Sha, the hotel’s Pastry Chef known as the "Poet of Flames", offering guests a spectacular feast for both the eyes and the taste buds, symbolizing the everlasting kiln fire ignited for love.
The event reached a perfect conclusion with a sugar-scattering ceremony performed by models during the runway show.
- The first sprinkle symbolizes fulfillment: may love be like porcelain clay, remaining gentle and flawless despite trials.
- The second sprinkle embodies sweetness: may affection be like glaze, retaining its brilliant red charm through wind and rain.
- The third sprinkle represents eternity: may marriage be like kiln fire, burning bright for a thousand years and shining together.
This swirling shower of sugar is the blessing presented by Taoxichuan Hotel Jingdezhen (The Unbound Collection by Hyatt) to all lovers.
