In June 2018, BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts grandly unveiled the sixth splendid jewel in its crown — BVLGARI Hotel Shanghai, situated in the bustling Suhewan Riverside Comprehensive Development Zone.
The Suhewan Development Project is elaborately developed by Overseas Chinese Town Group, a leading enterprise in China's real estate industry. It is an urban waterfront revitalization project integrating high-end residences, trendy commerce, art spaces and urban parks. BVLGARI Hotel Shanghai masterfully balances three elements: pleasant natural landscapes, contemporary design style and classic historical buildings.
The former Shanghai General Chamber of Commerce Building, a 1916 historic structure that has witnessed the vicissitudes of time, has been renovated and refurbished. It is ingeniously integrated with the 48-story BVLGARI Building surrounded by vibrant natural scenery, jointly forming BVLGARI Hotel Shanghai.
Located on the top 8 floors of the BVLGARI Building, the hotel allows guests to overlook the stunning views of the Bund, marvel at the magnificent Shanghai skyline, the legendary Huangpu River and the winding Suzhou Creek. The remaining floors of the building are occupied by BVLGARI Residences under the same brand.
In terms of interior design, like all other BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts worldwide, BVLGARI Hotel Shanghai consistently collaborated with the Italian architectural firm ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel for its creation. The design not only preserves the essence of Italian architecture and design styles but also incorporates the unique charm of Shanghai's Shanghai-style elegance.
All BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts are located in luxury urban districts or carefully selected holiday destinations. The overall design of each hotel is meticulously crafted by the prestigious Italian architectural firm ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel.
Drawing brilliant inspiration from BVLGARI's distinctive jewelry-making craftsmanship, the designers perfectly integrate contemporary Italian luxury with the local culture of each destination. Every BVLGARI Hotel & Resort strongly reflects the local culture through its design, while emphasizing the use of luxurious tones and exquisite craftsmanship in every detail.
The unique design style, authentic Italian culinary feasts and refreshing and relaxing spa experiences of BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts have made them the dream gathering places for the local elite. These hotels and resorts convey the inspiring spirit of the BVLGARI brand, its timeless charm and the legacy left by the outstanding Italian jeweler.
Currently, the BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts portfolio comprises 9 properties, including BVLGARI Hotel Milano, BVLGARI Resort Bali, BVLGARI Hotel London, BVLGARI Hotel Beijing, BVLGARI Resort Dubai, BVLGARI Hotel Shanghai, BVLGARI Hotel Paris, BVLGARI Hotel Tokyo and BVLGARI Hotel Roma.
In addition, four more BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts in Miami, Bodrum, Maldives and Baha Mar will be successively unveiled to the world between 2026 and 2029.
