Nanjing Shangri-La hosts a intangible cultural heritage experience event featuring dough modeling
Recently, a "Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Dough Sculpture Experience" activity, full of childlike fun and traditional cultural charm, was held at the Zijin Hall on the 5th floor of Nanjing Shangri-La.More than 120 participants, including representatives from local Nanjing media, children from the summer vacation childcare class of Gongren Xincun Community, as well as hotel guests and staff, gathered together. Under the careful guidance of Ms. Yu Chen, the founder of Nanjing Dough Sculpture and an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, they personally experienced the unique charm of this ancient fingertip art.
This event aims to build a bridge for people to approach intangible cultural heritage. The atmosphere was warm and focused. As the soul of the activity, Ms. Yu Chen, a representative inheritor of Nanjing dough sculpture, taught in person.With easy-to-understand explanations and skillful demonstrations, she guided everyone to start from kneading basic dough and gradually create playful dough sculpture works full of childlike charm. Under the hands-on guidance of Teacher Yu Chen, participants immersed themselves in the fun and turned their imagination into vivid artworks at their fingertips.
