About Aman

Founded in 1988, Aman’s vision is to create a collection of intimate retreats that welcome guests with a natural, home-like warmth. Its first property, Amanpuri in Phuket, Thailand, introduced this concept—and today, Aman encompasses 36 exquisitely serene hotels, resorts, and branded residences across 20 destinations worldwide, ranging from urban centers to remote locations. Several additional Aman projects are currently in development.

In recent years, Aman has expanded its highly coveted lifestyle beyond resorts, launching Aman Skincare (2018), the Sva dietary supplement line (2020), Aman Fine Fragrance (2020), The Essentials by Aman retail apparel collection (2021), Aman Essential Skin high-performance skincare range (2023), and Aman Interiors (2023)—a bespoke furniture collection that embodies the brand’s ethos.

Upholding its core philosophy of innovation, Aman launched its new hotel brand, Janu, in 2020. Derived from the Sanskrit word for “soul,” Janu offers a distinct hospitality approach that places genuine human connection, playful expression, and social wellbeing at the heart of the experience. It aims to bring balance to the mind and spirit, and rekindle the soul. Several Janu properties are currently under development, with its first hotel, Janu Tokyo, opening in March 2024.
